Shalimar Country Club, is a Public, 9 hole golf course located in Tempe, Arizona.
Shalimar first opened for play in 1960.
Almost hidden from busy Southern Avenue, Shalimar is an oasis of serenity...trees, flowers, a well grommed nine-hole golf course, a well-stocked golf shop, driving range and charming restaurant and clubhouse. Perhaps the best part is the friendly ambience and helpful staff.
Shalimar plays to 2,417 yards from the back tees. Par for the 9 holes is 33. The course rating is 61.7 and the slope rating is 95.

I helped my father build this course. He was an excellamt amateur golfer and landscape nurseryman. I killed gophers, swam in the lake to retrieve golf balls and mowed, mowed, mowed. His name was Clarence "Jeff" Wilson.

Shalimar is an older course, very reminiscent of the 60's when it was built. But it is always fun and the staff is great, very friendly. It is competitively priced and somewhat challenging for a 9-hold course. Great opportunity to use most - if not all- of the clubs in your bag.
